Can a Computer Get E.coli????

September 20th 2006 02:51
Ok. I know my computer really doesn't have E.coli. And I know that that was a really silly thought.

Sometimes I worry about it, though. Oh, it's in great shape; no problems with it at all. Well, except for the ones I cause myself. But when a site doesn't load fast enough or when the computer doesn't immediately respond to a page command, it can be annoying.

It happened just now.

I'd finished my post for today. (It was about how medical providers commit insurance fraud, by the way) It was ready to be proofread and posted. But when I clicked on the 'print preview' button, I could tell it was trying, but it was a total no go. Not content to stand around and wait for another 3 or 4 minutes, I hit 'refresh'. Big mistake there.

Oh, the page was refreshed, alright. But nothing saved is nothing gained (or something like that) and my page came back all clean and empty.

I'll tell you tomorrow what I wanted to tell you tonight. I'm a little beat right now and, even though I remember what I wrote, I'd rather do the rewrite when my mind is a little fresher.

So, tune in tomorrow for "Take My Teeth, Please"

Peace

It certainly possible to catch other sorts of bacteria from computers.

Take keyboards for instance -- fucking dirty things.

Mice, and particularly mice balls.

Headphones and microphones as well. So many people breathing on them, so much shit collecting on them, and then you put it close to the orifices of your head.

And stuff like earplugs -- don't let me start on earplugs...

Ah, Philosopher Adrian. So true, so true. You make me grateful that I don't use earplugs. But if I did, I'd really be phobic if someone else used them.
