What Can I Do This Weekend?

September 23rd 2006 01:34
This morning, Liz Strauss, Successful Blog wrote an interesting post called "Life, Weekends, Memories -- Finding Time for the Time of Your Life.

Well, that got me to thinking first about having no plans for the weekend. Then I thought about it again and realized I have no plans for the weekend.

Actually, I work from home, so a lot of people have the idea that every day is Saturday or Sunday for me and the reality of it is that the days melt together so much that they might be right.

So, I'm wondering what some of you have planned for the next two days. Not that it's any of my business, I'd just like to know, because either I have no life or I have a fantastic life and I'm trying to decide which it is.

Peace

Catching up with mates at the pub this afternoon. Jesus, how stereotypically aussie do i sound, I might as well put on the Akruba hat too and rock out to my compilation cassette of Barnesy and 'Acca-dacca'(!)
Then going out with my girlfriend tonight for more drinks and possibly dinner, working tomorrow morning, getting subway for lunch and possibly watch an overnight rental movie that was due a week or so ago to review for my blog.

Why didn't I think of something like blogging movies?

Were you really being stereotypically aussie? I would have thought you'd have said 'catching up with me mates'. Maybe I'm in the wrong country.

Sometimes it's the easiest most evident thing that we miss, like blogging movies, music, pop culture, daily events, etc.

Um, not intentionally. I wasn't being stereotypically aussie, it just sounded like that after reading what or who I was portraying myself as. Heh, the "me mates" is definitely more aussie though.

Yeah, Justin, you're right about not seeing the obvious.
